Teaching & Learning Development
Office for Teaching and Learning Development (OTLD)
The Office for Teaching and Learning Development (OTLD) was established as a response of the university to the challenge posed by the Covid-19 Pandemic when face-to-face classes were suspended due to the spread of the corona virus, infecting the lives of people. Since in-campus activities were frozen for quite some time, the University, by optimizing its available resources, initiated the conduct of online classes in all of its colleges, branches and campuses nationwide. By adhering to the dictum "No one must be left behind", it introduced two modalities of teaching and learning, namely: online (synchronous and asynchronous) and correspondence.
An office under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the OTLD supports the academic sector in fostering Outstanding, Technology-aided, Learner-centered, and Dynamic teaching and learning modalities and in benchmarking the best practices in online learning, pedagogy, assessment, and evaluation of technology-aided modalities.
